Rules
1 Entrance Fee 25p per entry to a maximum of £5,00 per entrant. No limit to entries
2 No fortification allowed in classes 1 to 20
3 Wine bottles to be clear or slightly tinted, punted or concaved, rounded shoulders, filled to leave airspace 1/4"-3/4". Flanged cork with white plastic cap.
Labels will be issued by Show Entry Clerk on/or before the day
Label should be affixed 1 inch from bottom of bottle
4 Beer to be in any suitable beer bottle filled to leave approx 1" airspace.
Write type on the bottom of the Show Label issued
5 Liqueurs. Stipulate type i.e. Cream + the flavour, Herb/spice, sloe gin/brandy etc.
Write type on bottom of the Show Label issued..
6 Points for trophies: 1st 10 points 2nd 5 points 3rd 3points
7 The judges decision is final
8 There is no limit to the number of entries in any class
Classes 1to 10- points decide Master Vintner. Master Vintner to be club member
Classes 5 to 22 are open to all
Classes 5 to 14 points decide Open Champion
Points gained by Master Vintner in 1 to 10 will not count towards open Rose Bowl
9 All non-members Fruit Wines (Ros'e excepted) to be entered in classes 11 to 14
Write main ingredient on issued show label for AOV classes

Tips on showing wines and beer.
Read the schedule carefully, contact the show secretary if in any doubt.
Make sure the bottles conform to schedule, are clean and without smears.
Labels to be affixed as per schedule, use a measure if need be.
If you are not sure of which class a wine should go into, again dont be afraid to ask and get a second opinion, any experienced wine exibitor will only be too pleased to assist.
Marks are awarded for Presentation, Clarity, Colour, Bouquet, the general taste and overall impression.
